As an Executive Store Manager, you will serve as the strategic partner to the Store Manager, ensuring the seamless operation of both the front-end retail and pharmacy departments. This role is designed to drive company deliverables by managing daily store activities, optimizing profitability, and fostering a culture of exceptional customer service. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will assume full responsibility for all store operations, acting as the primary leader for the team and the face of the store for the community.
Your day-to-day involves a dynamic blend of leadership and hands-on management. You will supervise a diverse team of associates and designated hitters, delegating tasks, managing schedules, and ensuring proper coverage across all shifts. Beyond operations, you will act as a resource for community outreach, collaborating with external partners to enhance the store's presence and impact. You will also support the pharmacy during peak periods, stepping in as a pharmacy technician when necessary to maintain service levels.
Candidates selected for this role will be expected to complete the Store Manager learning and development program (LEAP) or the Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of their start date. Successful completion of these programs is a key component of your professional development and readiness for future advancement.
