About the Team

North Central Baptist Hospital is a cornerstone of the San Antonio community, featuring separate adult and pediatric emergency departments to meet diverse local needs. Ranked as a U.S. News and World Report Best Hospital in 2013-14 and recognized again in 2023, the facility prides itself on delivering top-tier care. The hospital offers extraordinary cardiovascular and labor & delivery programs, with emergent PCI and OB services available on-site.

The clinical environment is designed for efficiency and autonomy. Clinicians benefit from a simple "one call" system for admissions and transfers. Notably, NPs and PAs practice independently in the ED, meaning physicians have no APP charts to sign, allowing for a streamlined workflow focused on patient care.

About the Role

You will join a Physician-owned group, the largest in the nation, built on a model that allows physicians to focus entirely on their mission: caring for patients. As part of USACS, you will work within a culture devoted to constant improvement through evidence-based medicine.

This role involves rotating between several Baptist Health System locations, including North Central Baptist Hospital, Baptist Medical Center, Mission Trail Baptist Hospital, Northeast Baptist Hospital, St. Luke's Baptist Hospital, Resolute Health Hospital, and the Baptist Regional Children's Center. You will have access to a National Clinical Governance Board of internally elected physicians and 24/7/365 bedside support from experienced colleagues.
