US Acute Care Solutions (USACS) is the largest physician-owned group in the nation. We built our model to allow physicians to focus on our core mission: caring for patients. As a physician-owned organization, we offer a culture of shared ownership, where leaders are committed to constant improvement through evidence-based medicine. Our team provides access to the best post-residency continuing medical education and a network of colleagues dedicated to outstanding patient care.
You will join the Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, a facility that has delivered the highest quality care since 1903. The department handles a volume of 39,000 patients annually across 28 beds, featuring a Level IV Trauma designation and a 26% admission rate. The environment is designed for efficiency and flexibility, with a layout that allows immediate conversion of spaces to negative-pressure areas as needed.
In this role, you will work 8-10 hour shifts with Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support. The department operates with a unique model where NPs and PAs practice independently, while physicians focus on complex care coordination. You will utilize Cerner FirstNet for documentation and benefit from dedicated administrative assistants who manage all admission, consult, and transfer calls. The team provides 24/7/365 access to experienced physicians and evidence-based Clinical Management Tools for bedside support.
