US Acute Care Solutions (USACS) is the largest physician-owned group in the nation. We built our model to allow physicians to focus on our core mission: caring for patients. As a physician-owned organization, we offer a culture of shared ownership, where leaders are committed to constant improvement through evidence-based medicine. Our team provides access to the best post-residency continuing medical education, national clinical governance, and 24/7/365 bedside support from experienced physicians.
You will join the Emergency Department team at Northeast Baptist Hospital, an award-winning facility in San Antonio known for its extraordinary cardiovascular programs, advanced surgery options, and specialty centers. The ED handles a volume of 32,000 patients annually with a Level IV Trauma designation, serving as an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary+ Stroke Center with thrombectomy capabilities.
In this role, you will practice independently in the ED, supported by Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). A key feature of our staffing model is that physicians have no APP charts to sign, allowing you to focus entirely on patient care. You will work 8-12 hour shifts tailored to volume trends, utilizing the Cerner FirstNet EMR. The position offers rotation across the five hospitals in San Antonio's Baptist Health System, including Baptist Medical Center, Mission Trail Baptist Hospital, North Central Baptist Hospital, St. Luke's Baptist Hospital, Resolute Baptist Hospital, and the Baptist Regional Children's Center.
San Antonio offers the advantages of a large city without sacrificing a small-town vibe. Rich in history and culture, the city is home to the Alamo, the San Antonio Spurs, and the famous River Walk promenade lined with cafes and shops. Residents enjoy diverse residential opportunities, from historic downtown bungalows and established estate homes to suburbs with outstanding public school systems and rural areas with wide open spaces. The city is also a hub for education, hosting UT at San Antonio and numerous other colleges and universities.
