About the Role
As an EMT, you will provide high-quality pre-hospital and in-facility emergency care, performing patient assessments, administering basic life support, and safely transporting patients. You will respond to 911 and emergency transport calls in Massena and surrounding areas, collaborating closely with nurses, physicians, and other EMS professionals to ensure timely, compassionate care.
Your day will involve rapid patient assessments, obtaining vital signs, and managing critical interventions such as airway management, bleeding control, and shock management. You will safely operate ambulances and emergency vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and organizational policies while maintaining equipment and supplies in a constant state of readiness. Effective communication with dispatch, receiving facilities, and emergency department staff is essential to coordinate seamless patient care.

Requirements
- verifiedCurrent State EMT Certification (EMT-B or higher as required by NYS)
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- verifiedValid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Nice to Have
EVOC/CEVO or equivalent emergency vehicle operator training. ACLS and/or PALS (as allowed by scope).
