This position serves as the operational backbone of the assigned unit, planning and organizing non-nursing functions to facilitate smooth workflow and enhance unit productivity. The role is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff while promoting efficient unit function and supporting indirect resident care.
Day-to-day responsibilities include performing clerical and reception duties, requisitioning supplies and equipment, and assisting with scheduling. In specific situations, the role may involve observing telemetry monitors and promptly notifying patient caregivers of any changes. This position is vital for ensuring the unit operates seamlessly, allowing clinical staff to focus on direct patient care.
