About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered ELL Teacher to support multilingual learners in grades K-5 across Isom and Westwood Elementary Schools. This position is designed to ensure students develop English proficiency while fully accessing grade-level content.
The ELL Teacher will serve as a vital bridge between language instruction and classroom learning. You will provide direct instruction in English language development aligned to state standards, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. A significant part of your day involves collaborating with classroom teachers to plan and implement differentiated instruction that meets the unique needs of every learner.
Beyond the classroom, you will play a key role in the school community by developing and implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), administering language proficiency assessments, and communicating regularly with families. You will also support culturally responsive practices and participate in MTSS/RTI processes to provide targeted interventions for students who need additional support.
