This High School Teaching position focuses on English Language Learners (ELL), where you will translate district curriculum goals into meaningful learning experiences. In this role, you will establish a learning environment characterized by high expectations and a genuine commitment to the subject. You will engage students through rigorous, culturally responsive instruction, utilizing clear communication and effective questioning techniques. Beyond the classroom, you will maintain accurate records, communicate frequently with families to engage them in the learning process, and actively participate in the professional learning community to continuously improve your practice.
This position is represented by the Oswego Education Association (OEA). Candidates must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an English as a Second Language 9-12 endorsement. We are seeking educators with recent elementary-level teaching experience (unless a new graduate) who demonstrate a solid understanding of content, pedagogy, and current teaching techniques.
