The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to join a dedicated team committed to service, community, and teamwork. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities and their families with flexible, high-quality, member-driven services and supports. These services empower individuals to exercise their rights and responsibilities regarding independent decision-making and community engagement.
In this role, you will be part of an amazing team that helps Arizonans thrive. You will conduct eligibility interviews, review referrals and redeterminations, and compile information from various sources to make recommendations on eligibility determinations. Your work will involve receiving and screening applications, referring applicants to community resources, and writing comprehensive progress notes. You will also correspond with families regarding initial applications and service notices, ensuring that every interaction supports the dignity and needs of our members.

Pre-Employment Requirements Candidates must possess a valid Level One fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute 41-1968 to work with children and vulnerable adults. All candidates are subject to searches of the Department of Child Safety Central Registry and the Adult Protective Services Registry. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing background and reference checks.

Two (2) years of professional experience coordinating social service activities (e.g., PCSPs, client referral for services, community services, etc.) OR one (1) year as a Human Service Specialist I in Arizona State Service OR a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
