We are an educator-driven community dedicated to ensuring every student succeeds. Our mission is to end the predictive value of race, class, gender, and special capacities for our children's success through high-quality teaching and learning for all. As the first public school division in Virginia to implement an Anti-Racism policy, we are committed to building school communities that share the responsibility to recognize and end racism, eliminate inequitable practices that result in achievement gaps, and support the unique gifts, talents, and interests of every child.
We seek to build strong relationships with families and communities, ensuring that "all" truly means all. In our schools, students are engaged in authentic, challenging, and relevant learning experiences, becoming lifelong contributors and leaders in our dynamic and diverse society.
As an Elementary Teacher (Grades 3-5) at Greer Elementary for the 2026-27 school year, you will be a vital part of our team's effort to achieve Thriving Students, Affirming and Empowering Communities, and Equitable, Transformative Resources. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to implement our Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of our Equity Mission Statement.
We are looking for innovative, self-reflective, and collaborative educators who are passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps. In this role, you will join a close-knit, supportive community where you can continue to grow professionally with strong instructional support from building administrators, instructional coaches, learning technology integrators, diversity resource teachers, and equity specialists.
Located in Albemarle County, Virginia, our schools are nestled in the shadow of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park, just 100 miles south of Washington, DC.
