As a Cardiovascular Technologist within the Heart and Vascular Interventional Labs, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for invasive procedures and assisting physicians during diagnostic catheterizations, PTCA, and electrophysiology studies. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will rotate through all aspects of the laboratory, ensuring seamless operations for complex cardiac interventions.
You will be an integral part of the clinical team, providing essential support for a wide range of procedures including pacemaker and defibrillator implants, EP studies, ablations, and cardiac structural interventions such as TAVR and Mitral Clip repairs. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve maintaining sterile fields, manipulating guide wires and catheters, and monitoring patient vitals and intracardiac pressures. Beyond the procedural floor, you will ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance, operate advanced imaging equipment, and maintain the quality assurance of all cardiac catheterization tools.
This role is also an opportunity to mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals. You will have the chance to instruct students and residents from partner institutions like Delaware Technical College and Thomas Jefferson University, sharing your expertise while fostering a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence.
