About the Role
Located at our Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, this position serves as a vital member of the cardiac team. You will perform duties as a cardiac technologist, utilizing sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring, and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring, recording, and analyzing electrocardiograms (EKG) and intracardiac pressures, while assisting the medical team with sterile procedures.
This role is deeply specialized in electrophysiology (EP). You will be expected to ensure the highest quality of care for patients with rhythm disturbances, including those with conduction disorders. This involves operating X-ray equipment, running blood samples, and managing protocols for conscious sedation. You will work with a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to geriatric patients, possessing a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pharmacologic options to treat arrhythmias.
