This position serves as a critical technical bridge between field operations and project management on heavy commercial and industrial electrical projects. The primary mission is to ensure strict compliance with project plans, codes, specifications, and design instructions while actively supporting the resolution of complex field problems.
You will be deeply involved in the lifecycle of the project, from initial startup logistics to final closeout. This role requires a unique blend of technical engineering knowledge and commercial acumen, specifically regarding unit price evaluation and cost control. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment where they must interface effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and the public, often navigating varying weather conditions and construction zones.
Your day will likely alternate between a private office and the active construction site. You will be responsible for administering the RFI and submittal processes, verifying materials, and conducting quality control inspections. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to document control, ensuring that record sets, permits, and as-built drawings are accurate and accessible.
You will also play a key role in project administration by coordinating job site meetings, processing progress photos, and assisting with the preparation of status reports and change requests. Whether you are developing startup checklists, managing material expediting logs, or participating in owner training sessions, your focus will remain on maintaining information flow and driving project milestones forward.
We are looking for a self-starter with strong leadership skills and a sense of urgency. Candidates should be comfortable accepting direction and constructive criticism while demonstrating the ability to work effectively under moderate, variable concentration with frequent interruptions.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE). Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
