About the Role

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Electrical Engineer - Level 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Huntsville, AL.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will support the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Hardware Engineering team's design efforts within an Agile environment. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining electrical drawings for multiple Ground Systems (GS) IPT hardware systems and their interfaces with facilities. Working under the direction of program leadership, you will perform analyses in accordance with industry and military standards, develop rack and system-level drawings, and manage the PLM system. Your role involves evaluating hardware design efforts, scheduling and planning tasks, leading small teams, and writing reports to support milestone reviews. You will be expected to actively participate in team meetings and internal/external demos, documenting progress on team dashboards while mentoring and cross-training junior engineers to ensure customer requirements are met.

The selected candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels. This position requires a current active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance and the ability to support an in-office/closed-area work environment full-time. Travel of up to 10% is required.
