Colorado Springs Utilities is the heart and soul of our community, keeping the lights on, gas flowing, water coming in, and wastewater leaving. Our Electrical Distribution Planning team oversees the planning, analysis, and modernization of the electric distribution system serving over 500,000 customers. We are dedicated to shaping the future of our power grid through reliability, modernization, and the integration of new technologies like EV readiness and distributed energy resources (DER).
As a Level Three Electric Distribution Planning Engineer, you will join a collaborative environment where you can make a visible impact on the future of our community's power infrastructure. This role is designed for an electrical engineer who enjoys solving complex system challenges and working alongside experts across other engineering functions.
You will contribute to both near-term and long-range distribution planning initiatives for our 12.5kV and 34.5kV systems. Your work will involve using advanced modeling and forecasting tools to drive decision-making, ensuring our grid is ready for customer growth, electrification, and the adoption of new technologies. This position offers a clear path for growth and development beyond the current level.
