Care New England Health System (CNE) and its member institutions—including Butler Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, Kent Hospital, VNA of Care New England, Integra, The Providence Center, and Care New England Medical Group, along with our Wellness Center—are trusted organizations fueling the latest advances in medical research. We attract the nation's top specialty-trained doctors and hone renowned services and innovative programs to engage in the important discussions people need to have about their health.
This position serves as a vital link in our cardiology workflow, responsible for administering electrocardiograms (EKGs) and applying Holter monitors to both inpatients and outpatients. The role exists to ensure accurate data collection and timely reporting for cardiologists, supporting both emergency and routine care needs.
In a typical day, you will perform EKGs, assist RNs with stress and nuclear testing, and transport patients to and from testing rooms. A significant portion of the role involves technical precision: editing EKG reports, transcribing Holter and echocardiogram data, and generating unedited reports for interpretation. You will also manage clerical duties such as scheduling cardiology tests and inputting medical data for billing. As a trusted team member, you may act as a preceptor to train new staff and maintain the cleanliness and readiness of specialized equipment.
Candidates must possess vocational or technical training and a minimum of six months of job-related experience, or the equivalent. Please review the full qualifications and submit your application through the official Care New England careers portal.
