This position serves as the primary link between the patient and the practice, functioning as a vital liaison between the practice and outside support services. You will assist physicians with clinical procedures while providing essential clerical support. Your role ensures a seamless experience for patients, from the moment they arrive to the completion of their visit.
In this capacity, you will coordinate schedules with professional staff, register patients, verify insurance coverage, and manage correspondence. You will also prepare patients for examination, assisting elderly residents with gowning and seating as appropriate. Beyond administrative duties, you will perform CLIA waived tests such as phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, glucometer tests, and spirometry, as well as prepare and administer vaccinations. You will maintain treatment rooms, manage clinical inventory, and record vital signs including blood pressure, height, weight, pulse, respirations, vision screening, and temperature.
