The company is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and enhance environmental, health, and safety programs within a chemical manufacturing environment.
About the Role
This role is pivotal in minimizing risk and promoting a strong safety culture across the facility. The EHS Manager will ensure the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this position requires a proactive approach to safety, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to building a culture of accountability.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. You will work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive organizational culture and continuous improvement. This is a fast-paced environment where the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to emergencies is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and other applicable regulations
- check_circleDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and standards for the facility
- check_circleConduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for manufacturing processes
- check_circleLead incident investigations and perform root cause analyses
- check_circleDevelop and deliver EHS training programs including HAZCOM and emergency response
- check_circleConduct routine facility audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
- check_circleTrack corrective and preventive actions through completion
- check_circleServe as primary point of contact with regulatory agencies
- check_circleCoach operational leaders on EHS initiatives and compliance requirements
- check_circlePrepare and submit required environmental and safety reports including SARA, RCRA, and permit renewals
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- verified7–10+ years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety leadership experience
- verifiedProfessional certifications such as CSP, CIH, and/or CHP preferred
- verifiedStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable state regulations
- verifiedExperience with hazardous materials management, air permitting, and environmental reporting
- verifiedProficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
Nice to Have
Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, and/or CHP. Experience within chemical manufacturing or a related industrial environment.
