About the Team

The Child Care Council of Nassau (CCCN) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering families with the guidance and resources needed to find high-quality childcare services. We foster the growth of innovative early childhood education in homes, centers, and schools, while supporting individuals on their journey to professional development and forward-thinking in this vital field.

About the Role

We are seeking an Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant to join our Early Childhood Services Department. This role is designed to work directly with early childhood educators serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. The primary mission of this position is to strengthen educator capacity, provide social-emotional support, and cultivate reflective practices and mental health competencies within the early childhood workforce.

In this position, you will serve as a vital partner to program staff, helping them create socially and emotionally responsive classroom environments. You will assist educators in communicating effectively with families regarding children's development and behavioral concerns, while also promoting staff wellness and reflective self-care practices. The role involves active participation in ongoing professional development related to evidence-based practices, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), cultural responsiveness, and intervention strategies.

Why Join Us

At CCCN, we value the well-being of our team as much as the children we serve. We offer a supportive work environment featuring a 35-hour workweek, paid holidays, and mid-year and year-end closures. Our culture encourages work-life balance with one remote day per week, Summer Fridays, and comprehensive benefits including vision and dental coverage, voluntary life insurance, and employer-funded health accounts.

Equal Opportunity

CCCN is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected status under local, state, and federal law.
