Become a hero to someone in your community as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with BAYADA Home Health Care. We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team in and around Berks County, PA, including Reading, Hamburg, and Boyertown.
As a DSP, you will work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD). Your mission is to help them reach their full potential by teaching them to do things for themselves, fostering independent and purposeful lives. Whether you are assisting with personal care, preparing meals, or accompanying clients on community outings, your role is vital in helping them live better lives.
Your day will be a blend of meaningful connection and practical support. You might start by helping a client with dressing and grooming, then spend time on their favorite hobbies. Later, you could provide transportation to appointments or errands, ensuring they stay connected to their community. The schedule offers flexibility with part-time, daytime, and evening shifts available, often with short commutes matched to your home location.
At BAYADA, you will be valued, respected, and heard. We are committed to investing in people and nurturing their desire to grow. As an accredited, regulated, and certified home health care provider, we celebrate 50 years of compassion, excellence, and reliability. We foster an inclusive and collaborative environment where your well-being comes first, supported by around-the-clock clinical support and a team that truly cares.
We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference. If you have one year of experience working or volunteering with I/DD individuals, or if you are willing to train through our apprentice program, we want to hear from you. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
