As a Direct Support Professional, you will be the backbone of our community-based programs, providing essential support within residential settings or periodic programs. This role is designed for those who want to create relationships that motivate us all every day. You will partner with individuals to support their growth and independence, assisting with socialization, health maintenance, skill development, and daily living activities. Whether you are helping with personal care, preparing meals, managing assets, or accompanying individuals to medical appointments, your work directly impacts the quality of life for the people we serve.
To join our team, candidates must successfully complete all required trainings and demonstrate proficiency in essential areas. The hiring process includes a thorough background check, including a check against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI). All employees hired after June 15, 2018, are required to submit to drug testing prior to employment and may be subject to random or for-cause testing. Additionally, candidates must cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff during any inspection, inquiry, or investigation.
