Driver/Warehouser - Non-CDL

About the Role

This position serves as a hybrid driver and warehouse associate, bridging the gap between logistics and on-site delivery. You will operate vehicles under 26,000 lbs to deliver finished products, parts, and materials directly to customer locations and job sites. Simultaneously, you will function within the warehouse to load and unload trucks, manage inventory, assemble products for shipment, and handle receiving operations.

Day in the Life

Your day involves a dynamic mix of road travel and warehouse activity. You will plan efficient delivery routes to maximize time and truck utilization while maintaining accurate driver logs and managing corporate fuel cards. Once on the road, you will ensure materials are delivered safely and professionally to customers. Back in the warehouse, you will focus on accuracy by ensuring materials are shipped, received, stored, and allocated correctly. This includes maintaining packing specifications, building suitable skids and pallets, and keeping the facility safe and orderly.

Work Environment

You will work in a dual environment that includes road travel and an indoor warehouse/fabrication setting. The role requires exposure to all weather seasons, as well as working around machinery with moving parts and vehicles. The environment may present slippery or uneven surfaces, requiring constant attention to safety.

Physical Demands

This role demands a high level of physical activity. You will spend significant time sitting while driving, but also engage in walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. A key requirement is the ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. You must also possess the mechanical knowledge to identify necessary repairs for trucks, forklifts, and other equipment.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a current DOT medical card. Familiarity with materials, units of measure, and basic math skills are essential. Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is required, along with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
