About the Opportunity

As a Driver Trainee, you will learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. You will gain valuable exposure to warehouse and other operational functions as part of the developmental process of becoming a McLane Driver.
McLane is offering a fully paid CDL-A School right here in Northfield, MN. This program provides a clear pathway to start a career with excellent pay and benefits, allowing you to train side-by-side with experienced Driver Trainers.
Program Details
McLane is committed to removing barriers to entry by covering the cost of your CDL-A School. The training is conducted on-site in Northfield, MN, and runs Monday through Thursday for the final four weeks of the program. To participate, candidates must obtain a CDL-A Permit prior to the start of class. While in school and training, the pay rate is $23.50 per hour.
Earnings and Benefits
Upon completion of training and as a driver, you can expect an average first-year earning potential of $80,000 to $90,000, with a minimum guarantee of $65,000 per year. Benefits are designed to support you from day one, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA options, and company-paid life insurance. Additional perks include a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan available after 90 days, paid holidays, vacation time, sick leave accrual, and an educational assistance program.
