About the Opportunity

As a Driver Trainee, you will learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to various customer locations. You will gain exposure to warehouse and other operational functions as part of the developmental process of becoming a McLane Driver.
McLane is offering a fully paid CDL-A School right here in Northfield, MN. This program provides the unique opportunity to start your journey with excellent pay and benefits, supported by a comprehensive training curriculum.
Program Details
The training program is fully funded by McLane and takes place on-site in Northfield, MN. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM for the final four weeks of the course. To participate, candidates must obtain a CDL-A Permit prior to the start of class. During the training phase, the pay rate is $23.50 per hour.
Upon successful completion of the training and receipt of your Class A CDL within six months, you will transition into a driver role. Drivers can expect a minimum guarantee of $65,000 per year, with average first-year earnings ranging from $80,000 to $90,000. Benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance, are available from day one. Additional perks include a 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days, paid holidays, vacation time, sick leave accrual, and an educational assistance program.

Hiring Process

Successful applicants will proceed to the fully paid CDL-A School in Northfield, MN, followed by on-the-job training side-by-side with a Driver Trainer to acquire the necessary skills for commercial driving and product delivery.
