About the Role
The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our community. This role is essential for maintaining clean neighborhoods and ensuring the reliable collection of solid waste and recyclables from curbside and backdoor locations. As a driver, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers daily while operating specialized collection vehicles to transport materials to post-collection facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOperate truck equipment to compact trash and eliminate driver-induced mechanical failures
- check_circleOperate residential waste collection trucks and hydraulic systems to collect solid waste and recyclables
- check_circleLoad solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables into the rear or side of waste collection vehicles
- check_circleComplete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, daily truck reports, and route documentation
- check_circleIdentify and remove prohibited waste items from customer carts or cans
- check_circleManage assigned helpers and coordinate with supervisors to improve routing efficiencies
- check_circleCommunicate vehicle mechanical problems to mechanics and supervisors immediately
- check_circleMaintain vehicle cleanliness by cleaning the cab interior and exterior daily
- check_circleEnsure all personal protective equipment is worn and adhere to all safety standards and regulations
- check_circleMaintain inventory of containers, residential carts, and spare parts while recommending purchases
