About the Role

The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our customers. In this role, you will manage curbside and backdoor routes, collecting solid waste and recyclables before transporting them to post-collection facilities. Your work ensures our communities remain clean and our operations run smoothly.

Day in the Life

Your day begins with a thorough pre-trip safety inspection of your side-load or rear-load truck and hydraulic systems. You will navigate residential routes, maneuvering the vehicle into tight spaces and operating equipment to compact waste. Throughout the shift, you will interact with the public, maintaining a professional demeanor while identifying and removing prohibited items from carts. The role requires physical stamina to lift and move materials, as well as the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, from extreme heat to rain and storms.
