This position serves as a critical link between our supply chain and our customers, ensuring drywall materials are delivered safely and efficiently to both residential and commercial sites. As a driver, you are responsible for the entire delivery lifecycle: loading, transporting, and unloading materials while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.
You will operate vehicles weighing between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds, adhering strictly to all driver safety and compliance regulations. Beyond transportation, you act as the primary customer service liaison, resolving issues on-site and ensuring that orders are delivered accurately and without damage to the customer's property.
This role is performed within a dynamic production environment. You will work alongside a partner to handle materials, navigating conditions that may include temperature variations, dust, noise, and mechanical equipment. The physical nature of the job requires the ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds frequently, with occasional assistance for loads up to 200 pounds. You must be prepared to climb into vehicle cabs, twist for visibility, and perform tasks involving climbing, pushing, or kneeling.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) with fewer than five moving violations in the last five years. Upon selection, successful applicants are required to obtain a DOT medical card within five days of the request. The role is open to individuals aged 21 and older with a High School Diploma or GED.
