This position is based in Chantilly, VA, and serves as a vital link in our warehouse and delivery operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of materials to customer sites and branch locations. Whether you are a Pole Driver navigating over-length vehicles in tight turning areas and rail yards, or a CDL Trainee learning the ropes, your role is critical to our mission of delivering top-notch service.
Your day will involve driving delivery vehicles, maintaining detailed logs and inspection reports, and ensuring all vehicles remain in clean, good working condition. You will load and unload materials, coordinate routes, and interact directly with customers to provide exceptional service. For those in the Pole Driver track, the role includes working on construction sites and in pole yards, handling large poles with special equipment, and rigging oversize loads for public highway transport. As a trainee, you will undergo comprehensive on-site training to acquire your CDL license and master the technology and safety protocols required for the job.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Please note that the role may be filled before or after the listed deadline. Successful candidates will undergo a pre-employment screening process, which includes a criminal background check and, for driving positions, a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Drug testing may also be required depending on the specific role.
