About the Role
We are seeking experienced CDL-A Flatbed Drivers to join our regional and OTR teams. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting heavy and specialized cargo, requiring physical capability to handle tarping duties approximately 70% of the time. The position is designed for drivers who value consistency, offering a regional route structure with most weekends off.
The day-to-day involves operating a flatbed truck to deliver goods safely and on schedule. A key aspect of this role is the physical requirement to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice, a task tested during the orientation process. Drivers will work with a team that values safety, reliability, and the strength of the flatbed community.
Hiring Process & Orientation
System Transport offers a comprehensive paid orientation to ensure new drivers are set up for success. The process begins with an invitation to the office in Spokane, Washington, where the company covers airfare, a single-occupancy room, and breakfast and lunch. Dinner is left for the driver to explore the local area.
Upon arrival on Monday, drivers can expect to receive their truck by Saturday. Following orientation, new hires will speak with a System Transport Recruiter to find the flatbed route that fits their lifestyle best. The application process includes a background check, a clean drug test, and verification of clean clearinghouse results.
Culture & Policies
System Transport maintains specific policies to ensure safety and team cohesion. The company does not allow pets on the road. However, after 90 days of safe driving, drivers are permitted to bring a guest rider aged 7 and up.
