About the Role
Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. As a CDL-A Driver, you are not only responsible for ensuring customer products arrive at their destination on time and in perfect condition, but you also serve as the face of our company, building lasting relationships with our clients.
You will drive tractor-trailers or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop assignments. Your mission is to deliver and unload food and food-related products in a safe, timely manner while strictly adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with daily home time, allowing you to perform essential work that supports America's food distribution system.
Hiring Process
Candidates must meet all state licensing and certification requirements, possess a valid CDL-A license, and have at least one year of commercial driving experience. The selection process includes a post-offer drug test, criminal background check, road test, and verification of a clean Motor Vehicle Report for the past three years. Applicants must also attain or possess a valid current DOT Health Card.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleUnload products from trailer and transport items to designated customer storage areas
- check_circleDrive tractor trailer or straight truck to deliver food products to customers safely and on time
- check_circleCollect cash or checks from customers and load customer returns onto the trailer
- check_circleVerify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures on invoices
- check_circleComplete all required paperwork including freight logs, hours of service, and damage control reports
- check_circleMaintain general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and trailers
- check_circlePerform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations
- check_circleInspect freight for proper loading and securement before and during transit
Requirements
