For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens. The organization currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness.
This position supports the Older Adult Centers, which promote an active life for seniors by helping them preserve their independence and health. As a Driver, you will be the vital link that allows clients to access these essential services. Your day will involve transporting older adult clients on regularly scheduled routes to various destinations, including senior centers, supermarkets, shopping malls, and medical appointments.
Beyond driving, you will play a direct role in client care by escorting and assisting infirm or fragile clients from their homes to the vehicle and back. You will also perform essential clerical functions, such as data entry, filing, answering phones, and distributing mail, ensuring the smooth operation of the center's daily activities.
