As a Driller's Helper, you will play a vital support role in geotechnical exploration and site investigation. Your primary mission is to assist the Driller in executing solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling techniques, rock coring, mud rotary drilling, and other advancement methods. This work is essential for determining soil characteristics on construction sites.
You will be instrumental in moving, setting up, and operating drilling rigs and related equipment to drill holes for exploration borings. Beyond drilling, you will assist during the installation of monitoring wells, slope inclinometers, vibrating wire piezometers, settlement sensors, and other types of instrumentation. The role requires you to work outdoors in all weather conditions, performing physically demanding tasks that keep our field operations running smoothly.
Candidates must meet specific regulatory and safety standards to join the team. This includes being at least 21 years old due to interstate driving regulations, possessing the ability to communicate via email, and having an excellent driving record. You must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and will be subject to ongoing and random drug screening. All candidates must pass company background checks, including drug screens.
