About the Role
Manufacturing Quality Engineers are a key component to manufacturing defect-free products and ensuring that our process is as efficient as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong quality background, interested in driving quality into our product.
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will work primarily in support of the Operations Department production floor daily operations and will report to the Associate Manager, Quality Engineering. You will collaborate across multiple disciplines to find root causes for systemic failures and lead in-depth investigations of quality issues, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions occur. Your work will involve participating in continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Six Sigma tools, and maintaining a strong working knowledge of current ISO 9001 requirements to support the development and monitoring of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleParticipate in CI/LEAN initiatives and utilize Six Sigma tools for process improvements
- check_circleSupport the development, implementation, and monitoring of the QMS per ISO 9001 requirements
- check_circleAddress Nonconformance reports including dispositions, RCCA, and approval of Supplier FAI
- check_circleManage and collaborate in the Material Review Board process
- check_circleCollaborate across disciplines to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- verifiedGraduate Degree and minimum 4 years of prior related experience
- verifiedIn lieu of a degree, minimum 10 years of prior related experience
- verifiedProficiency in MS Office software
- verifiedKnowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- verifiedFamiliarity with the MRB Process and working in a Manufacturing environment
- verifiedKnowledge of RCCA processes and methodology
- verifiedDemonstrated experience working in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
- verifiedASQ certification (CQT, CQI, CQE, CMQ/OE) or demonstrated application of these principles
- verifiedAbility to obtain a security clearance
- verifiedU.S. citizenship
Nice to Have
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline. ASQ certification (CQT, CQI, CQE, CMQ/OE) or demonstrated application of these principles. Experience working with IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620. Experience working with the QMS functions within SAP. Experience using Coordinated Measuring Machines (CMM).
