Manufacturing Quality Engineers are a key component of our mission to produce defect-free products while ensuring our processes remain as efficient as possible. This role sits within the Operations Department, working directly on the production floor to support daily operations and report to the Associate Manager of Quality Engineering. The team is dedicated to driving quality into every product and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through cross-functional collaboration.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong quality background who is passionate about embedding quality standards into our manufacturing processes. You will serve as a critical link between operations and quality assurance, effectively communicating issue descriptions, improvement progress, and status updates to management.
Your day-to-day involves leading and supporting in-depth investigations into quality issues, including non-conformances, process problems, and audit observations. You will collaborate across multiple disciplines to identify root causes for systemic failures and implement effective corrective actions. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to participating in CI/LEAN initiatives, utilizing Six Sigma tools such as 8-D, Fish-bone diagrams, and 5 Why's to optimize processes. Additionally, you will maintain a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements, supporting the development and monitoring of our Quality Management System (QMS), and managing the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
Candidates for this role should be prepared for a process that may include a review of qualifications, followed by interviews focused on technical expertise and cultural fit. Please note that many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance, which may only be granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants who accept a conditional offer may be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
