This position serves as a critical hub for ensuring a high level of customer service, efficient cargo pick-up and delivery, and optimal equipment turn-time. The role is dedicated to cultivating a workplace where safety is the highest priority, requiring an unwavering commitment to HSSE policies and procedures.
You will act as the primary coordinator for daily and nightly operations, managing the routing, scheduling, and dispatching of drivers, equipment, and freight loads. Your day involves verifying customer invoicing, entering critical data such as container numbers and times into the dispatch system, and preparing various reports for operations and customers. Beyond logistics, you will provide excellent customer service by arranging pick-ups and deliveries, assisting with appointments, and communicating with dispatch at various customer sites to coordinate freight movement.
A core aspect of this role is supporting the safe operation of all trucks, drivers, and related trucking operations. You will ensure 100% compliance with all transportation and safety regulations, including Federal, State, and WISHA standards, as well as DOT regulations and HazMat protocols. This commitment to safety extends to all administrative functions, from printing delivery receipts to creating freight bills and tracing shipments.
