About the Role
Based at The Romer House Waikiki in Hawaii, this position is vital to the operational backbone of our food and beverage services. As a Steward/Potwasher/Warewasher, you will be the guardian of sanitation and order within the kitchen and dining environments. Your role ensures that every piece of china, glass, and silver meets the highest standards of cleanliness before returning to service, while also supporting the kitchen staff in maintaining a pristine workspace.
In this role, you will work closely with kitchen teams to manage the flow of equipment and supplies. You will be responsible for the heavy-duty cleaning of ovens, grills, sinks, and walk-in refrigerators, as well as the sanitation of all utensils and physical work areas. Your efforts directly contribute to the guest experience by ensuring a safe, efficient, and hygienic environment. You will also assist with the setup and breakdown of restaurant buffets and support Banquets by supplying necessary tableware based on business demand.
