As the Director of Region System Operations, you will sit at the heart of our transmission and distribution performance, shaping how our systems operate every hour of every day. This leadership role is designed to guide a diverse team of leaders, establish strategic priorities aligned with company goals, and ensure resources are deployed where they create the greatest impact.
In this position, you will oversee the Salt Lake City or Portland region system operations center, managing technical services, emergency management, compliance training, and business process improvement. You will be responsible for developing best practices, monitoring industry benchmarks, and ensuring the seamless planning, operation, and control of our transmission and distribution networks. Beyond technical oversight, you will serve as a key spokesperson for the company, engaging with regulatory agencies, regional transmission organizations, and union management to navigate complex operational and compliance landscapes.

Advanced degree. NERC certification (if managing NERC certified employees). Knowledge of emergency service provision as pertaining to the utility industry. Knowledge of NERC reliability standards. Experience in electric utility control center (24/7) operations. Experience in electric utility emergency operations (i.e. storm, wildlife, major event response). Knowledge of the company's strategic plan, regulatory and political environment, as well as the company's policies, procedures, and practices, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
