This position serves as a critical subject matter expert within the utility's engineering division, responsible for the integrity, safety, and reliability of the electrical transmission and distribution systems across the NTUA service area. The role exists to ensure that all electrical facilities, including renewable systems, are designed, maintained, and upgraded in strict compliance with RUS Electrical Standards, the National Electric Code (NEC), and the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
In this capacity, you will lead the technical review of project designs and specifications, performing complex load flow studies and circuit modeling to optimize system stability. Your day-to-day involves directing the electrical facilities maintenance program, managing capital and operations budgets, and overseeing the full lifecycle of projects from preliminary planning and procurement to construction and commissioning. You will also provide leadership in developing long-range plans and power requirement studies, ensuring continuous operational capability and service reliability for the community.
Candidates must possess a valid Driver's License, which will be subject to a motor vehicle record review. The selection process prioritizes professional engineering expertise and a deep understanding of the electric utility industry.
