We are the Facilities Engineering & Construction team within Production & Operations, dedicated to leading electrical design and execution across our oil and gas facilities. Our mission is to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant power systems that support the reimagining and reinventing of the future of energy.
This role serves as the technical lead for electrical and instrumentation engineering, bridging the gap between design standards and field execution. You will manage the full lifecycle of electrical projects, from specifying equipment and developing design standards to overseeing commissioning and ensuring operational safety.
In this position, you will interface directly with electrical utilities to bring line power to our facilities and collaborate closely with Facilities Engineering, Operations, and Construction teams. Your work ensures that electrical designs align with mechanical, process, and civil requirements while incorporating feedback on operability and maintainability. You will be responsible for evaluating alternative designs to optimize safety, reliability, and cost, and for supporting troubleshooting efforts both on-site and remotely.
At BPX, we support our people to learn and grow in a diverse and challenging environment. We believe that our team is strengthened by diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone is respected and treated fairly. We offer a reward and wellbeing package designed to enable your work to fit with your life, including flexible working schedules and a generous 401(k) matching program.
We are looking for individuals who are ready to help our business meet the challenges of the future. If you are selected for a position, your employment may be contingent upon adherence to local policy, which may include pre-placement drug screening, medical review of physical fitness for the role, and background checks.
