Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney's linear networks and theatrical content. This includes the media supply chain, storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, and network transmission. The global team also serves as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney's EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleRespond to and resolve production, broadcast, and distribution issues across multiple networks
- check_circleAnalyze and troubleshoot streaming audio/video signals in SDI and IP 2110 environments
- check_circlePerform and coordinate preventative maintenance on broadcast systems and equipment
- check_circleProvide operational support for audio and video production and distribution systems
- check_circlePerform upgrades to system hardware and software workflows under supervision
- check_circleParticipate in complex engineering projects and system integration tasks
- check_circleConduct peer training and development sessions for technical staff
- check_circleDevelop long-range plans for future media technology needs and capital improvements
- check_circleManage third-party service providers and enforce agreed scope of services
- check_circleSelect, procure, and maintain equipment and supplies within budget guidelines
- check_circleReview, maintain, and contribute to system and workflow documentation

Requirements
- verified3+ years experience in live media production and distribution sustainment
- verifiedHigh school degree or equivalent experience
- verifiedProficiency with microservices, DevOps tools, design principles, and standards
- verifiedScripting proficiency (Python, NodeJS, Bash, PowerShell) preferred
- verifiedProficiency in SMPTE standards (ST 292M, ST 424M, ST 2110, ST 2059, IEE1588, ST 2022-7, SCTE-104) with current certification
- verifiedFoundational cloud certification (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, CompTIA Cloud+, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate)
- verifiedKnowledge of compression techniques (MPEG2/4, HEVC, JPEG 2000, JPEG XS)
- verifiedKnowledge of Evertz software control systems (VistaLink, Magnum, EQX/EXE, VLPRO, SDVN, VIP, VUE, MVP)
- verifiedKnowledge of media systems (asset management, file-based workflows, media acquisition, transcoding, NAS/SAN)
- verifiedKnowledge of Nielsen (NACAT), VANC equipment, Linear Acoustics
- verifiedAbility to create, read, and interpret AutoCAD and technical drawings
- verifiedProven troubleshooting experience in IP-based broadcast, studio technology, file-based workflows, production control, or transmission systems
- verifiedValid driver's license
Nice to Have
Scripting proficiency in Python, NodeJS, Bash, or PowerShell. Knowledge and experience with coordinated receiver decoders IRDs, core devices, edge devices, timing of video and audio systems, audio, and video media file formats.
