This position leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function, with a specific focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of property sales objectives. The role provides critical support for sales activities involving larger, more complex accounts and is responsible for monitoring and managing team booking goals.
You will work closely with the sales leader to ensure a clear understanding of the sales strategy and its effective implementation at the property level. Your day-to-day involves creating and executing sales plans that address revenue, customers, and market segments, while assisting in the development of both internal and external promotions. By setting an example with personal booking goals and approving space releases for catering, you will drive maximum revenue potential.
Beyond strategy and revenue, this role requires active participation in sales calls to acquire new business and close deals. You will execute the operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and managing customer correspondence. The position also involves analyzing market information to achieve financial room and catering goals, assisting Revenue Management with six-period projections, and reviewing guest satisfaction results to identify areas for improvement.
Building successful relationships is central to this role. You will manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with Human Resources, Engineering, and Loss Prevention to ensure compliance with regulations, and attend customer events, trade shows, and sales missions. Direct interaction with guests to obtain feedback on product quality, service levels, and contract execution is also a key component.
As a leader, you will interview and hire management and hourly employees, utilizing on-the-job training tools to empower your team. You are expected to display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify customer service, and incorporate guest satisfaction as a core component of department meetings to foster continuous improvement.
