As the Director of Safety, you will lead the day-to-day coordination and continuous improvement of Cape Air's comprehensive safety programs. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between operational realities and strategic safety goals. You will work across the company to monitor safety performance, identify emerging concerns, and support the implementation of initiatives that drive our safety culture forward.
In this position, you will serve as a key advisor to the Vice President of Safety, bringing significant issues to light and helping to shape the overall direction of the Safety Department. Your day will involve managing the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Internal Evaluation Program (IEP), and Fatigue Risk Management Plan (FRMP), while ensuring that safety training materials are effective and up-to-date. You will chair the monthly Safety Committee, reviewing performance trends with department leaders and driving the timely completion of corrective actions. Whether coordinating internal investigations, evaluating the Emergency Response Plan, or traveling to Cape Air cities to support operational objectives, your focus remains on maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety.
