About the Role
Bowhead is seeking a Director of Operations to lead programs and personnel within our Systems & Information Technology (SIT) Group. This senior leadership role carries full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility, encompassing technical and non-technical program management, strategic business development, and customer relationship management. The Director will drive operational excellence across existing Department of Defense (DoD) programs while identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand the portfolio.
In this position, you will serve as a senior point of accountability for customer satisfaction, managing relationships with program stakeholders and leadership contacts. You will lead initiatives to expand the business pipeline, broaden the revenue base, and identify opportunities among existing DoD customers and in emerging markets. The role requires cultivating a high-performing, collaborative team culture aligned with Bowhead's mission and values, while mentoring team members and setting clear expectations for performance and growth.
Location and Flexibility
This position offers a fully remote work option for candidates. However, candidates located within commuting distance of Bowhead offices are encouraged to apply.
Security and Citizenship
A Secret level security clearance is required for this role, and candidates must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship is a mandatory requirement to maintain a Secret clearance at this location.
