Director of Nursing

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Charge Nurse to join our team in Garden Grove, CA. In this pivotal position, you will work alongside the Facility Administrator to manage nursing staff, oversee scheduling, and coordinate facility operations. Your primary mission is to ensure the provision of high-quality patient care while maintaining strict adherence to organizational policies, state regulations, and federal compliance standards.

This role offers a unique blend of clinical leadership and administrative oversight. You will spend four days on the floor managing patient care and staff, with one dedicated day per week focused on administrative duties. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, with a typical 8-hour shift structure. To support work-life balance, you will work one Saturday per month; on weeks with a Saturday shift, you will receive one weekday off. This arrangement ensures efficient facility capacity utilization while maintaining a sustainable rhythm for the team.

As the Charge Nurse, you will serve as a key liaison between the Facility Manager, physicians, and the nursing staff. You will be responsible for driving quality standards through Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, managing adverse events, and ensuring the integrity of medical records. Your leadership will directly impact the safety and efficiency of vascular access procedures, from patient admission through discharge. You will also act as the Facility Manager in their absence, overseeing all aspects of facility operations, including equipment maintenance, supply management, and emergency response protocols.

Requirements

Nice to Have

ASC certification. Minimum of three years' experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology, and ICU/CCU experience. Minimum of three years of Interventional Radiology or scrub experience. Supervisory or management experience within a medical or vascular access environment.
