This position serves as a critical operational partner to the Facility Manager, facility staff, and physicians, ensuring the seamless delivery of quality patient care within a vascular access environment. The role exists to bridge clinical excellence with administrative efficiency, driving continuous quality improvement (CQI) and maintaining strict adherence to organizational, state, and federal regulations.
In this capacity, you will supervise and direct facility staff to provide safe, effective vascular access procedures. Your day involves managing daily patient needs, delegating tasks to a diverse team including Staff RNs, Radiology Technologists, and Front Desk Coordinators, and ensuring that patient care assignments are distributed appropriately. You will act as the primary point of contact for patient and family education regarding pre- and post-procedure care, while also overseeing the accurate documentation of treatments from admission through discharge.
Beyond direct patient oversight, you will play a key role in facility management by monitoring equipment integrity, managing medication inventory and controlled substances, and ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. In the absence of the Facility Manager, you will assume primary responsibility for facility operations, including emergency response and governing body participation. This role requires a balance of clinical leadership, staff development, and strategic compliance to support the organization's mission of high-quality patient outcomes.
