The Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations is a pivotal leader within the Marketing and Communications team at CoxHealth. This role is dedicated to driving growth, supporting patient acquisition, and enhancing the CoxHealth brand through comprehensive, data-driven strategies. As a strategic partner to service line leaders, physicians, and internal stakeholders, the Director ensures that all marketing efforts are tightly aligned with health system priorities and deliver measurable results.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications, this leader co-manages the department's operational infrastructure, including the marketing budget, contracts, agencies, and key platforms such as CRM and media. Beyond operational oversight, the Director oversees a growing team of strategic marketers, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in mentorship, innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
In this role, you will lead system-wide marketing strategy development across service lines, working closely with clinical leaders to align initiatives with patient acquisition goals. You will collaborate with the VP to implement strategies that reflect organizational priorities and drive brand reputation. Your day involves overseeing integrated campaigns and brand activations, ensuring seamless coordination across digital, creative, brand, and communications teams.
You will manage and mentor a high-performing team, setting clear goals and promoting a growth-oriented culture. A significant portion of your time will be spent co-managing the marketing budget to ensure efficient resource allocation and overseeing vendor relationships, including those related to CRM, strategy, paid media, and research. You will also leverage consumer insights and market trends to inform strategic planning and tactical execution, supporting the development of marketing analytics and performance dashboards.
Additionally, you will partner with the Brand and Creative Director to elevate the brand experience across all platforms and community-facing initiatives. Acting as a liaison between marketing and clinical/service line leaders, you will translate clinical goals into compelling marketing strategies, maintaining close awareness of organizational goals and operational shifts to ensure marketing remains responsive and aligned with system strategy.
