This position serves as the architect of resident well-being, dedicated to developing and implementing inspiring, success-oriented Life Enrichment programs. Grounded in a person-centered care approach, the role ensures that every activity is designed to meet the unique overall needs of our residents, transforming daily living into a meaningful experience.
You will lead the creation of purposeful activity programs that enrich the lives of residents and their families. A key part of your day involves orchestrating the monthly activity calendar within the therapeutic scope of our programs, while simultaneously fostering a vibrant Family Partnership Program. This initiative encourages family members, community groups, and individuals to join as volunteers, uniting everyone around the shared goal of enhancing quality of life.
In this leadership capacity, you will oversee Life Enrichment coordinators and Care managers, ensuring high standards for daily living experiences. Your work requires a deep commitment to collecting comprehensive social information through Person Centered Care forms, allowing you to tailor programs based on each resident's interests, personal history, and abilities. You will champion the Parallel Program model, driving associate and volunteer participation to ensure every resident is touched a minimum of five times daily through life enrichment activities.
Beyond program development, you will maintain a forum for residents and families to regularly share ideas and concerns regarding their daily living experience. You are responsible for managing equipment supplies within budgetary guidelines and encouraging cross-departmental participation. Safety is paramount; you will maintain a secure environment, support the Safe Return program, and take ownership of the safety of both associates and residents.
As a leader, you will embody our CORE Values through servant leadership, promoting teamwork and company philosophy. You will attend the monthly DLE Conference Call and required community meetings, while ensuring all associates complete necessary training through HRA University. This role also includes on-call and Manager On Duty responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director, requiring the ability to work in a safe, alert manner and make independent decisions that prioritize resident care.
