About the Role
The Director of Financial Operations is a hands-on accounting and finance leadership role designed to oversee day-to-day financial operations. This position is critical for ensuring the organization's financial health through monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
You will serve as a strategic partner to leadership across operations, development, HR, and marketing, helping to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies. The role offers strong visibility and the opportunity to play a meaningful part in supporting a well-known Portland institution.
Work Environment

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- verified5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- verifiedStrong understanding of GAAP and financial operations
- verifiedExperience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- verifiedNonprofit experience strongly preferred
