Assistant Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to partner closely with our Director of Finance. This position is vital for ensuring the financial integrity, compliance, and transparency of our organization's operations. You will provide day-to-day analytical and technical support, exercising independent judgment to deliver advanced financial analysis and strategic insights that directly inform leadership decision-making.

In this role, you will lead core accounting functions, manage grants, and oversee federal and state transit funding compliance. You will serve as the liaison for the annual independent audit and ensure the timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GASB standards. Your work will involve building robust financial models, monitoring budget performance, and standardizing reporting tools to drive organizational efficiency.
