About the Role
The Director of Finance and Accounting (DOF) for Resort Operations serves as a proactive, trusted business leader embedded on-site to empower leadership teams with the financial expertise needed for timely, informed decision-making. This role is critical for optimizing business value, managing financial risk, and ensuring strict adherence to management agreements with nonprofit property owners' associations.
In this position, you will oversee the full spectrum of financial and accounting reporting for on-site ancillary business operations. You will act as the guardian of financial integrity, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), corporate policies (such as MVW-66), and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Beyond technical oversight, the DOF is a strategic partner who develops and delivers financial products and services tailored to the organization's evolving needs.
Your day-to-day impact involves leading the on-site Finance & Accounting team, driving comprehensive annual business plans, and managing cash flow and profit forecasts. You will bridge the gap between complex financial data and operational strategy, providing hands-on analysis to Resort Operations leaders and the Property Owners' Association Board of Directors. By fostering strong relationships with stakeholders ranging from internal auditors to external vendors, you will mitigate risk and drive the financial objectives of the resort.
